A 60th birthday and a Cheong Sam

Dad is turning 60 this year! Time really does fly, I still remember how young he was 20 years back, when I can barely walk properly. I am truly blessed to be dad’s little girl and how lucky I am to be growing up in this beautiful family.

I remember vividly that some time two years ago, I posted something here, and I mean it still now. There is no words I can say to express my gratitude for dad and mum are healthy and well, most importantly happy with each other’s company.

So, this 60th birthday, B and I gave dad and mum a trip to Shanghai, China as present, hopefully they will enjoy it. After so much trouble bringing me up, they deserve some nice treat. ^^

So, 60th birthday! It was a massive one! The evening started slow, with guests arriving slowly around 6pm, and then, by the time we finish our early dinner, almost 300 guests turned up! The 6 tents that we rented were all packed, some guests didn’t even have a place to sit. Haha~ Dad hired a live band to enhance the night with nice oldies and everyone was having great fun. I even see Uncle Imai, whom I have not seen for more than 1.5 years, and Uncle Graham too. B’s parents came all the way from Melaka too.

The night ended at 2am, after 11 CARTONS OF BEERS AND 26 BOTTLES OF WINE!!! All the food catered were finished, so no wastage =)

Prior to that, I even went dress shopping with mum, and fell head over heels for a Cheong Sam. I’ve never worn a Cheong Sam for 18 years and decided to try on one. The fitting was great and the fabric is beautiful, so I decided to get it, while mum grabbed a whole lot of other cloths too. *evil wink*

Okay, too many words, care for some pictures? ^^

A hyperventilated day…

Today we’re having a site visit to Putrajaya in the morning at 9.30am, so we skipped studio class. After the visit, Lannie, Zin and I went to Serdang for some scrumptious Fish Head Noodle, before heading back to college. After that, I drove Big Bunny to Pyramid with Zin for some super Rayban shopping, and then headed back to college for Muay Thai class at 6pm. (Yes, I picked up Muay Thai with Avevy baby!!! Hahaha, no one messes with us now… ^^) And truth be told, having some intense workout does really help, a lot, with destressing and going perfectly hand-in-hand with my slim-down-tone-up-train-for-surfing plan… *happy dance* thank you Ave for dragging me into this…

Here are some snapshots along the way…Oh, why a hyperventilated day? You’ll know why by the end of this… scroll on… =)

Went to the Big Bad Wolf Bookfair on Sunday, all books are 70-90% off!!! OMG…I am so lucky we went there…None of the books I found is over RM20, and all of them were worth RM80-200+, if you buy them in normal price. It was heavenly for me… Muahaha~~

Books I bought but yet to have time to read… =[

Back to the topic, so here’s the Diamond Building in Putrajaya, a.k.a Bangunan Suruhanjaya Tenaga

If you ever wonder what goes down in a Muay Thai class, here’s to your answer. Faizul, the man holding the ‘pillow’-like brace, is leaving for Sarawak soon…He was so fun to be around, I’ll miss punching him… =[

The one sitting on the chair, is one of a Thai fighter from Boxx Club, he is very serious but funny at the same time…but you will never want to piss him off… ^^

Faizul, Annabelle, Ave and me! Smile

Here are the reason for this post - - by the time I finish Muay Thai class at 8, I went back home and suddenly realised something… I couldn’t get my butt of the couch, I was too exhausted… Like how Barney Stinson in “How I met your mother” series, where he finished runnign the NY marathon, he couldn’t move his feet in the subway, LOL! I never felt so tired before. I mustered all the energy left of me to take a quick bath and I just past out by the time my head hit the pillow. Haha. But like what Ave said, “I am starting to love working out, HARD!”

Hopefully by the time for Bali, I will be ready for surfing, bikini and beautiful beaches!!!913991-bali

I can’t wait to find out how it feels to be standing on moving waters, caressing ocean’s heartbeat, drawing my line on the waves… =)

All the best, and cheers for better tomorrow. Stay tuned, I drop some hint on next topic, “How to Identify Authentic Rayban Aviator and where to get one”. =)
