A hyperventilated day…

Today we’re having a site visit to Putrajaya in the morning at 9.30am, so we skipped studio class. After the visit, Lannie, Zin and I went to Serdang for some scrumptious Fish Head Noodle, before heading back to college. After that, I drove Big Bunny to Pyramid with Zin for some super Rayban shopping, and then headed back to college for Muay Thai class at 6pm. (Yes, I picked up Muay Thai with Avevy baby!!! Hahaha, no one messes with us now… ^^) And truth be told, having some intense workout does really help, a lot, with destressing and going perfectly hand-in-hand with my slim-down-tone-up-train-for-surfing plan… *happy dance* thank you Ave for dragging me into this…

Here are some snapshots along the way…Oh, why a hyperventilated day? You’ll know why by the end of this… scroll on… =)

Went to the Big Bad Wolf Bookfair on Sunday, all books are 70-90% off!!! OMG…I am so lucky we went there…None of the books I found is over RM20, and all of them were worth RM80-200+, if you buy them in normal price. It was heavenly for me… Muahaha~~

If you ever wonder what goes down in a Muay Thai class, here’s to your answer. Faizul, the man holding the ‘pillow’-like brace, is leaving for Sarawak soon…He was so fun to be around, I’ll miss punching him… =[

The one sitting on the chair, is one of a Thai fighter from Boxx Club, he is very serious but funny at the same time…but you will never want to piss him off… ^^

Faizul, Annabelle, Ave and me! Smile

Here are the reason for this post - - by the time I finish Muay Thai class at 8, I went back home and suddenly realised something… I couldn’t get my butt of the couch, I was too exhausted… Like how Barney Stinson in “How I met your mother” series, where he finished runnign the NY marathon, he couldn’t move his feet in the subway, LOL! I never felt so tired before. I mustered all the energy left of me to take a quick bath and I just past out by the time my head hit the pillow. Haha. But like what Ave said, “I am starting to love working out, HARD!”

Hopefully by the time for Bali, I will be ready for surfing, bikini and beautiful beaches!!!913991-bali

I can’t wait to find out how it feels to be standing on moving waters, caressing ocean’s heartbeat, drawing my line on the waves… =)

All the best, and cheers for better tomorrow. Stay tuned, I drop some hint on next topic, “How to Identify Authentic Rayban Aviator and where to get one”. =)

Re-discovering myself!

After today’s class, I went out with mum for some light shopping, to help her get some sport pants. We ended up buying MY FIRST RAYBAN!!! Yeap, a Rayban! I wanted to pick up a new shade since mine was scratched from the Tioman trip, but never did it occur to me that I would be buying such a pricey piece.

We went around and I set my eyes on a pair of beautiful aviator, brown shade gold frame. I asked for the price and the salesgirl went to and the shop owner came out. He told me that piece is his personal collection, a 30-year-old vintage Diamond Rayban. Wanna know how much it cost? Well, someone offered the owner RM3000, but he wouldn’t budge. I was lucky I get to try it on and it was stunningly beautiful… =[ too bad, not for sell, not that I would buy it for RM3000+.

Anyway, after much walking around, I found one that is quite affordable and fairly priced. Grey shades silver framed, I liked it very much but was still reluctant to fork out RM700+ for a pair of shades. However, Rayban is having a nationwide promotion (yeap, you heard me right, a nationwide promotion, up to 50% discount, RUN!!! people, RUN!) So, I ended up buying it, my first Rayban! ^^ *happy dance*

Later, mum and I sat down for lunch and she told me all the funny things dad used to do back then and suddenly mum told me, my grandma is half Taiwanese! That makes mum 1/4 a Taiwanese and ultimately me 1/8 of a Taiwanese!!! o.O So, here you go people, you might want to talk with your parents and find out some seriously important but your parents’ might have forgotten to tell you…

So, the MIFF Ideation Award 2012, I got into the finalist, but is now waiting for my design to be paired up with a manufacturer before it can go into prototyping. *fingers crossed* I hope this time will be different~ I was pretty devastated knowing that my design didn’t get a manufacturer straightly on the night of the semi-final judging, but I found my cure for frustration~ BEER! So, after getting drunken, the next day seems easier to be tolerated, and now I know why people drink their way out of sadness. =] Now, hopefully someone will see the same potential that I see in the design~ I know that someone is out there!

This competition made me realise sometimes in life, the greatest thing in life never comes so easily, it made you wait and it breaks you up before it arrives on your door step. But I’ll wait~ ^^

And last but not least, millions of hugs and kisses go out to Wenzy baby for picking me up from the floor when I was so broken apart, your homemade CD made my day! And our little crappy apartment gave me something amazing to look forward to! ^^ hahaha!

The highest heels I have so far, very vintage-lookey, me like! Super cool looking, even vaguely like a Christian Louboutin lace boot… Haha, quite a steal if you ask.

Finally some light-hearted moment after the few bad days I went through, I hope things will continue to be better, for everyone!

This is me, signing out! Stay tuned~

Mum’s handmade mooncakes~

Although mid Autumn is two weeks ago, but mum still had some remaining ingredients, so she decided to bake another batch of mooncakes. I took some pictures of them, maybe it’d be a good idea to put them online for people looking for some off-season delicacies. By the way, not to brag, did I mention mum’s mooncakes are THE BEST I’ve ever had? ^^
