Picking up form what I’d left off, here goes the second half of our first day in Melaka.

Did you know there’s a VIP cargo available for your special occasion on the ferris wheel? It costs Rm100 for 7 people.IMG_4271 IMG_4277 IMG_4280 IMG_4290 IMG_4292 One of my favourite shot throughout the trip..IMG_4311Look at Kate’s emotion.. fishy much..IMG_4315 IMG_4320

Melaka night cruise..

IMG_4342IMG_4345IMG_4331

The night ends when we had a night stroll in the usually-jammed-packed Jonker Street, in the cool breeze of the night, soaking in the delightful silence.

Day 2 itinerary :

Wake up real early - buzz Zin up - walk along Jonker in the morning - walk along Jonker (again) and Red House - have chicken rice balls – bathe - walk along Jonker (again, but the night market is really nice…) and grab a drink at local bar (oh no, we didn’t *wink*).

The one thing I love most about this town is that no matter where you go, you’ll see stores being manned by Chinese folks, not the foreign workers. They’ll tell you every takes that they know about this town, capturing your imagination, mesmerizing your thought.

The night ends with the fire stunt by a street performer, beautiful and memorable..

Wake up – have ‘dim sum’ for breakfast - go walk some more (serious shopping) – visit temple and Zheng Ho Museum – prepare to leave…….

The lady owner of the shop wouldn’t allow us to use chopstick for her restaurant’s famous ‘pau’, and so, welcome to the Funny Boom Boom Pau moment, people..

Taken at the entrance of the Zheng Ho museum. If I were to suggest one must-do in Melaka, I would say go to this museum. There’s a guide  leading you through it, telling you little fascinating stories and every setting in the museum is up for photography. It’s like a wonderland for history-fanatics, cam-whores and whoever in the middle. I ain’t kidding..It’s worth the ticket. And you get an AMAZING view of the whole town, only on a roof accessible through the museum.

Leaving after having the third chendol of our trip. We never seem to get enough of it, neither do we of this lovely town.. Ending this travel chapter with sweet thoughts dangling and beginning of the fantasy of another trip..

July 31, 2009

I'm back..for real..

Sorry, I broke my promise again for not updating my blog after the last hasty post (as if my blog has tens of thousands of fans *wink*).Dont blame me, blame the fuzzy internet connection. You must be wondering which part on Earth do I live in, until I always end up with those lousy connection. Well, I am staying in "The Land of Hacking Free Wifi". (shh, don't tell my neighbour). Incase you're wondering (again) why don't I just go to those cafes with Wifi services, well..I now hold the key to a non-existing vehicle, called "the air".. YES! I don't have a car to actually get myself around, yet~ lol

Anyhow, enough of the yada-yada.. Let's get to the point, shall we?

A lot of things have changed lately, for the better and worse.. I was lying on my bed one night, starting to doze off when my phone beeped suddenly. It was a message from a dear friend, telling me he's having a tough time with his girl. They have been together for a long time and for as far as I know, they were going strong..until the distance has taken its toll. I feel awful to hear the new, who doesn't, when they heard of a dying love..

Through the consulting and comforting (as if I was being anymore helpful to them), it kind of put my own thinking into perspectives. My own relationship is about to enter another phase. We started with the dreaded long-distance relationship, went through the toughness with him computing between Malacca and KL during weekends and now we are about to see each other daily in school. I am learning to adapt, trying to leave enough space for him and myself to catch a breather but not too much space where both of us become two complete individuals, who only hang on to an empty relationship. Achieving that is tricky and I am scared..

I am in my second semester now. This semester focuses more on theory, which means less drawing, more reading. In other words, NO FUN~ but the perk is that there are four major field trips coming up, one to Nepal, one to Tokyo, another to Istanbul abd the last one, you ready? It's Rome....R-O-M-E, ROME!! (this is the part where you leap with joy with me ~ If I can afford the 7 thousand traveling fee..sponsors,anyone??) Anyhow, I think I'll choose Istanbul..I am saving up my Rome for another time *wink wink* Or I'll choose all FOUR, in my wildest dream..lol

As for my life lately, my college is still great, my relationship is still going strong, my internet still fuzzy, my brain still messy, and I am still living in my bubble..

"blue blue blue" ooo

With love,
* KC

ps : more pictures coming soon.. ^^

yes yes YES!

Yes, I am back! Finally, it's been four months since my last blog..I meant to get back to blogging much earlier, but I kept having writer's block whenever I sat in front of the screen. Plus, my lappie broke down for quite a while, only got my replacement for a few weeks. I switched to Windows (yes, finally..), my Macintosh days are now far far away in my history..I am still getting use to the shortcuts and stuff..Feels like an idiot to ask my classmates about the simplest Windows shortcuts, like "erm....can you tell me what key should I press to cut and paste?" Fortunately, I've got my personal mentor to get me through my 'difficult' days..Now, I know "Ctrl + X" is for cutting, etc.. hehe..

Now, moving on..
Yes, I have started college, for three months.
Yes, I am studying Diploma in Interior Design at Taylor's
Yes, I am on my semester break now
Yes, I had a great semester with my classmates, 11 in total, excluding me.
Yes, you heard me, my class has 12 students, only..
Yes, I'll be starting my second semester by the end of July
Yes, college life is what I'd expected it, both in a good way and bad
Yes, I miss you guys whom I'd lost touch with..

Well, initially wanted to put in more juicy bits of my recent life to make up fro my M.I.A. in blogging but maybe next time~ ^^

Here's some pictures taken through my college life..with the incredible 11 ID-in-training!

(oppsy, maybe it's the connection, can't post any pictures, yet~ but I promise will be updating my blog more often lately. )

With love,
KC
