HOT AIR BALLOONssssss!

How can I refrain from talking about this hot air balloon festival? Well, last Saturday, B dragged me out of bed early in the morning and we drove to Putrajaya to catch the festival.

We got there around 7am and there were tons of cars and people already by then. Just so you know, this hot air balloon showcase was of international and local exhibitors. And my point was that even we got there at 7am, all the passes for photographers were out (yes, apparently, you need a pass to get into the setup area, where most balloons sat on).

Anyhow, we still manage to get “up close and personal” with two other balloons outside of the confinement. Around 7.30am, all the balloons were up in the air, flying to their designated landing zone. We literally chase the balloons on foot, across the large field and lake. Soon, the balloons were out of sight by 8am, we wandered around and took a cruise ride, which costs Rm15 per pax. The ride was nice but I wished it was longer than 15 minutes.

Oh, by the way, the sky was a little gloomy during the take-off, so it was a pity…but all in all, a great escape for an early morning!

Well, that wraps up my morning. Erm, until I get back to lakeside at 10am and had to work on the model again. Until then, a great beginning of a day~ CHEERs! =)

One funny thing by the way, by the time we got there, we were literally squashed by all the DSLR cameras. Fumbling with my canon among those more advanced camera makes me feel so awkward and ashamed at the beginning. But then, you’ll get used to it, SOONER OR LATER. Seeing one dude with two DSLRs is not big deal there, add in some expensive additional lenses, there you go, you’re in the hottest photographing event. Anyhow, I still believe, moments in life that takes your breath away can too be captured with a normal digital camera, just like mine. ^^

With love,

KC
